9 years ago we became parents to the most gorgeous baby girl. I couldn’t have imagined then how grown up and amazing she would be at nine. I can’t believe we’re 1/2 way to 18 already!
There is nothing quite like the anticipation of a first child. All children are special gifts, but you only get to have the first one once. There is something so magical about feeling that first flutter of new life and wondering “was that it?” or later watching as your belly grows and takes on a life of its own. The process of becoming a parent begins long before the baby makes his appearance. Kayla & Blake, thank you so much for allowing me to document this time in your life. The love you have for each other is so evident. Your son is blessed to have you for parents.

I love this time of year. I truly wish I could keep our tree up year round and if it weren’t a little creepy, I probably would do it. I love the glow, I love the ornaments, I love everything about how it transforms our dining room. And I love the way these gorgeous girls look in front of that tree. They’re my extra dose of Christmas cheer.
